Building a Strategic Partnership

In 2022, we placed a spirits industry veteran as the CEO of Bespoken Spirits. The new CEO focused on narrowing the company’s product portfolio from 8-12 SKUs down to just three whiskey SKUs: Bourbon, Rye, and American Whiskey. This strategic focus allowed Bespoken to hone their expertise and streamline their operations.

In 2023, the Protis Global team ran the search for a decisive 7th Board Member, a role that required a spirits industry expert to complement the existing board members from other industries. We successfully placed a seasoned professional from Mast-Jägermeister USA to fill this role. This addition provided valuable industry insight and helped bridge the knowledge gap for board members unfamiliar with the nuances of the spirits industry.

Our approach involved using our industry expertise to understand the gaps identified by the CEO and Board. We placed candidates who were not only knowledgeable and experienced in this highly nuanced and compliance-driven industry but also capable of “translating” messages for board members from non-spirits backgrounds.
