Job Title: Vice President, Supply Chain Finance
Location for the position: Lenexa, KS
Summary: Job Purpose: This individual will be responsible for leadership of the Supply Chain finance team, including financial reporting, monitoring of actual results, forecasting, and strategic planning & analysis. (S)He will also be responsible for developing annual budgets, capital analysis, spending proposals, manufacturing finance, warehouse finance, and transportation finance teams and deliverables. The team supports 5 bakeries and our major warehouse operations across the USA and Canada. The VP Finance will be a member of the Production and Supply Chain leadership team, in addition to the corporate Finance organization.
Job Duties: Responsibilities: • Responsible for Supply Chain (Manufacturing, Warehouse, Transportation) reporting, KPI’s and insights • Direct resources and team members to complete thorough strategic analysis of supply chain and operations results to identify and drive outcomes for Key Performance Indicators • Serve as SVP Production & Supply Chain’s Finance Business Partner, providing functional expertise and partnership to cross-functional teams and executive leadership • Responsible for the COGS forecast, reporting, tracking and support • In partnership with Operations and Supply Chain leadership, develop and maintain the Annual Operating Plan and Long-Term Strategic Plan within Production & Supply Chain • Partner with Cost Accounting and Operations to understand period close and provide detailed reporting and insights. • Ensure full, consistent analysis is performed on potential capital investments and forecasting/tracking progress of capital projects is maintained • Lead the partnership with Sales, Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Operations to understand and assist in leading an effective S&OP process and linking financial metrics to operational metrics • Direct team for reporting analysis and details on production and capacity utilization and overall productivity initiatives in partnership with VP Operations Strategy • Assist in understanding and driving inventory efficiencies and days in inventory improvement • Partner with FP&A for transparent reporting and timely analysis for executive leadership review and Board presentations • Develop deep collaborative relationships with the Supply Chain Leadership Team to support effective and efficient cross-functional work, information flow and problem solving • Define and establish the operational strategies, processes and tools to manage and monitor the performance of Supply Chain end to end • Manage prioritization of projects and team workload to best serve the needs of the team and the business • Review existing processes for improvement and efficiencies • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial and operational information
Background Requirements: Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field required • MBA Preferred • 12+ years of experience in accounting and/or finance • Proven results as a Finance Business Partner to a manufacturing organization • CPG manufacturing experience is preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Self-starter and ability to work independently • Grit and determination to bring work to completion • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions • Able to work effectively across functions and levels • Proven ability to develop talent • Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders and business partners • Proven ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines in a fast pace organization and achieve desired results • Experience in creating dashboards, standard reports, scorecards, and ad-hoc reports • Advanced Excel experience: comfort with complex spreadsheets and large data sets, building financial models • Experience working with SAP FI module and BI tool to extract/analyze data • Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Detail-oriented focus to ensure accuracy • Highest level of integrity and management of confidential information
