Training and Development Manager

Summary:

The Training and Development Manager actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods for enhancing performance and recognizing outstanding performance. The Training and Development Manager is responsible for the creation, implementation and improvement of all business-wide training efforts, prioritizing and focusing on the management program.

Job Duties:

• Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and feedback from incumbent managers.
• Develop, implement and monitor training programs for restaurant managers (continually updating paper and electronic versions).
• Oversee the manager in training program. Gather feedback, appraisals and communicate to partners consistently.
• Format and write materials to fit current brand and training standards – following the curriculum outlined.
• Evaluate training program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically, working with cross functional teams and scheduling postmortem discussions.
• Provide Wahlburgers with classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences and workshops.
• Work with store General Managers to schedule any in-store admin or training needs.
• Systematize food safety and other certification requirements for company store locations.
• Gather information for rollouts, company newsletter and other cross departmental communication as needed.
• Exemplify the vision, mission and philosophy of Wahlburgers. “Just make ‘em Happy”

Background Requirements:

• Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job and classroom training, e-learning, workshops, etc.).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven leadership and facilitation skills.
• Track record in designing and executing successful training programs.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Adheres to established goals and timelines.
• Operations background, 5-7 years. Multi-unit preferred.
• Training background, 5 years
