Job Title: Trade Marketing Mgr.
Location for the position: Orlando or NorCal
Summary: Provide marketing tool development, project management & sales operations & coordination support for the Domestic & Export sales channels.
Job Duties: Trade Marketing support • Work with the National Sales Manager Marketing Manager to ensure that Brand plans are tailored to the Domestic market channel needs. • Work with the Distributor management team to ensure everyone is following the Activation Calendar. • Champion critical path timing to ensure timely delivery of marketing materials and activity tools for the Domestic market Distributor management team. • Ensure Brand Standards are adhered to in the market. Sales Management support • Ensure the Clos du Val Distributor Management team and key distributor salespeople have the marketing tools they need to win in the market. • Assist the Distributor management team with sample requests. • Coordinate Distributor, Sommeliers, Wine Steward visits to the Estate. Program tracking • Establish goals and objectives for every spend over $10,000. • Work closely with the Business Operations Manager to ensure the appropriate tracking tools are in place to evaluate programs. Presentation support • Develop Winery/Estate fact sheets, product spec sheets, selling decks and POS for the Distributor Management team. • Assist in the development of sales/marketing presentations and tasting sheets. • Provide support/support the preparation of strategic account presentations. • Assemble sales kits, samples and general communication for Distributors and the Distributor Management team. Stakeholder management • Compile and maintain a database of key Distributor “shakers and movers.” • Coordinate execution of e-mail communication campaigns to distributors and trade based on sales and marketing program calendars. Use mailing lists and merges. • Manage the list of strategic accounts. Ensure that we are ‘winning’ in Beacon Accounts (Provide a CRM solution for Beacon Accounts) Trade Event management • Oversee/coordinate Winery/Estate presence at Trade events. • Support the staffing of these events where necessary. Market ‘drive’ activity • Assist the team with the logistics for Market Focus weeks and drive activity. • Participate in market activity where relevant. POS Management • Source materials, request quotes and work with printers, designers, and vendors to realize quality and savings on POS on deadline and budget • Ensure the Field sales team are ordering POS to support local market activation. • Provide traffic/FedEx/UPS help to get POS to market.
Background Requirements: • Experience of the 3-tier system for wine/spirits distribution a must. • Market management experience in a broad geographic area. • A history of managing projects on time and to budget. • Has worked in a brand driven organization. • Knowledge of compliance and regulation needs for wine nationally and by state.
