Position Overview
One of the worlds most exciting and fast growing Rum companies is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to manage all facets of its inbound and outbound supply chain. Our company operates out internationally, and does business in the US, and many European Countries, with suppliers throughout the world. They are seeking a leader who is detail oriented and committed to creating the most responsive and low cost supply chain for the company as it enters its next phase of growth.
Position Description:
-Assist in developing the company’s overall 5 year supply chain strategy
-Execute the company’s overall 5 year supply chain strategy
-Develop relationships with and manage multiple supply partners for all key commodities.
-Constantly challenge supply partners to ensure Copalli is receiving the optimal mix of service, cost, innovation, and quality. Support distillery on the sourcing decisions of all large purchases.
-Represent company and the supply chain function in working with partners to design, develop and implement new processes in Netsuite and Whiskey Systems. Specifically Demand Planning.
-Collaborate with the distillery management and finance to ensure that the production schedule/plan is adequate to provide for the correct inventory levels and meet sales forecasts (i.e. bottling plan, dry goods ordering, etc)
-Support and implement an overall strategic inventory and storage strategy
-Manage all orders for raw materials ensuring a consistent level of supply at all times
-Provide visibility to the supply chain with development and reporting of key performance metrics and dashboards
-Manage the end to end outbound supply chain to ensure we have consistent supply of products across all distribution channels. Work with sales on forecasting and ordering methods.
-Develop strategy for and implement optimal processes for ordering and inventory.
-Work with Supply Team to negotiate with and select all key supply chain logistics partners, consistently challenging for optimal cost and performance. Work closely with finance team on costing components related to dry goods and inbound/outbound freight.
-Act as the company leader for process improvements, taking on strategic and tactical process improvements across functions.
-Lead meetings as necessary to coordinate and give visibility to leadership and other company functions.
Position Requirements
-At least 3 years’ experience in supply chain management
-4-year supply chain degree from accredited college
-Experience negotiating and managing a network of supply partners, preferably in alc bev.
-Experience designing and managing end to end logistics operations, preferably in alc bev.
-Experience understanding key supply chain metrics and how to impact them
-Experience with NetSuite. Experience with Whiskey Systems preferred.
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across and serve multiple functions
-Experience working in international supply chains including import/export requirements
-Experience leading process improvement projects (background in lean preferred)
-Ability to succinctly present key ideas and status to upper level executives
