Senior Specialist, Fair Practices & Compliance

Summary:

This role will be responsible for preparing, coordinating, and handling internal investigations of employment-related complaints. This role will also focus on enterprise-wide efforts to support positive employee relations, which will include the development and implementation of training programs, focus groups and other initiatives.

Job Duties:

Principal Roles and Responsibilities
§ Conduct investigative interviews of employees and others, and reviewing, analyzing, and synthesizing documents and data collected as part of the investigations.
§ Draft detailed investigation reports, as well as other documents and correspondence related to the investigations.
§ Effectively interacts and communicates with individuals involved in matters being investigated, managers and the HR teams that support those individuals during the investigation and post-investigation processes.
§ Prepares investigation summaries and provides recommendations and advice about options for corrective action to the Director, Fair Practices and Compliance.
§ Drives impact by helping the company create and sustain a compliance-oriented culture.
§ Provides advice and consulting for management and employees in support of continuous improvement related to issues identified in investigations, as broadly defined.
§ Regularly interacts with employees at all levels, helping to build understanding, transparency, and trust around the company’s investigation function.
§ Assists in developing and delivering compliance education programs and trainings designed proactively to address workplace issues.
§ Maintain Covid-19 contact tracing spreadsheet for the company.
§ Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Background Requirements:

Skills and Attributes:
§ 3+ years combined human resources, labor relations, investigative, or legal experience.

Preferred Competencies:
§ Operational Efficiency – manufacturing knowledge a plus
§ Bakery Industry – baking industry knowledge a plus
§ Human Resource Management and HR Best Practices
§ Work Planning, Organization, and Execution
§ Personal Computer Skills – proficient in standard operating systems and business software
