Regional President – SE


Curaleaf is hiring a President of our Southeast business, to provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management to the vertically integrated organization. The president should have 8-10+ years of progressive experience in leadership roles, including finance & P&L ownership, building and driving a team toward aggressive metrics, and manage budgets and resources properly. The president will be responsible for department goals and overall accountability to shareholders and the general public. They will encourage business investment from the community and act as the FL and local public face of Curaleaf. Besides, this person must have an entrepreneurial mindset and adapt quickly to changes in the marketplace. Proven expertise as a high-performing regional leader with experience implementing business strategies, plans, and procedures and ability to drive revenue.

Job Duties:

• Financial knowledge; budgets, payroll tax, capital expense, month/quarter/year-end financials
• Acts as the dynamic face of Curaleaf when dealing with state and local governments as well as within the local communities
• Develop a deep understanding of the state medical marijuana market and its competitive landscape
• Execute the financial strategy of the company
• Lead team charged with oversight of daily operations, brand management, people development, cross-functional support
• Drive operational performance via key metrics and key performance indicators
• Building and developing high-performing teams at all levels of the organization
• Drive revenue and EBITDA growth, margin expansion, and operational effectiveness
• Provide leadership, oversight, management, and vision to all departments with a vigilant eye towards compliance and state regulation
• Execute superior customer satisfaction to achieve advanced operational standards scores
• Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, and business goals and objectives
• Knowledge of Union practices (preferred)
• Remains up to date on cannabis legislation
• Effectively communicate potential risks promptly
• Builds a reliable network in the cannabis industry through attending networking events and educational events
• Lead brand management and integrated marketing programs
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire people to action through their influence
• Keen business judgment

Background Requirements:

• 8-10 years proven leadership experience in a highly regulated industry (ideally CPG, Food / Beverage)
• Appropriate education (BA / BS – Business or related) to be successful at an executive level. Advanced business degree, preferred
• Experience as a Regional Manager or Director in a company, which experienced rapid growth in a highly regulated market
• Must have experience leading, overseeing, and managing a variety of department managers within one organization
• Must have experience managing financial controls and accounting procedures; budgeting, forecasting, and any capital projects
• Highly motivated and detail-oriented, strategic thinker and planner
• Able to pass comprehensive background and credit check

Related Skills:

• Previously led or been a part of leading successful startups (a must)
• Cannabis experience necessary
• Previous experience building and cultivating a high-performing management team to help execute the company’s vision
• A proven ability to leverage technology and systems to drive operational improvements and profitability
• Advanced computer skills
• Outstanding organizational, leadership abilities and employee development skills
