Summary:

Sweet Endings is looking for a high-performing National Sales Manager that is passionate to help build a fast-growing wholesale dessert manufacturer.

This candidate will be responsible for achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing distributors, multi-unit accounts, national accounts, brokers and strategically important operators and help GROW EXCITEMENT ABOUT THE BRAND.

This individual will help design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands our current company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.

The objective of this position is to develop sales through food channels and food brokers, distributors and target operators within the food service segment. Experience with retail sales is a plus.

The candidate will be proficient in selling and developing relationships with key multi-unit accounts, national accounts and strategically important operators.

The candidate will also have a thorough understanding of the relationship between manufactures, food service distributors, brokers, and operators.

The National Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and developing all aspects to include new product distribution, distributor relationship, broker development and budget control.
• The position requires frequent travel.
• The candidate should be living in Florida, preferably in South Florida.
• Experience in CRM’s (Customer Relation Management)

Job Duties:

• Manage team of three: Associate Brand Manager, Senior Brand Manager and Director
• Direct communication with brand ownership to effectively develop strategies that incorporate the realities of the US market and the priorities of suppliers in Italy.
• Act as main brand liaison with national sales force, collaborating with the sales forces to ensure key strategies and initiatives are implemented in the field and sharing feedback on strategy and market conditions to marketing leadership and global brand teams.
• Direct communication and engagement activities for the brand (including, but not limited to, consumer events, video and static communications campaigns, public relations, digital campaigns, content strategy and asset development).
• Lead engagement brand activities including, but not limited to, project management, on-time, in-full delivery on essential communication and content assets, adaptation of communication, and execution of in-market events.
• Lead creation of assets and content that will enable the brand to maximize targeted marketing initiatives in collaboration with outside agencies, supplier partners and internal cross-functional teams.
• Interpret customized research and trade resources to identify key insights that will drive strategic planning and NPD/innovation pipeline.
• Research and identify new opportunities to expand brand market share through DTC, wine clubs and other alternative channels.
• Train brokers personnel to effectively sell Sweet Endings Desserts.
• Grow Sweet Endings to a National well-known brand.
• Successfully execute Sweet Endings objectives.
• Manage all promotional support funds and expense budgets.
• Prepare sales plans, forecasts, analytical market and sales strategies.
• Report pertinent information to management.
• Management training and development of company brokers and distributors.
• Develop National Accounts.
• Develop distribution.
• Development of new products through new distribution and operator’s penetration.
• Develop sales and profits multi-regional accounts nationally.
• Develop system and support processes to create opportunities and programs.
• Direct and coordinate all sales activities locally and nationally.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding a product or service.
• Ensure that independent and regional account business is developed.
• Regularly calls on existing and potential customers.
• Promote and sell company branded products and meet brand sales objectives maximizing market share.
• Functions as a team member within the organization and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
• Develops and executes Sales Business Plans.
• Grows sales and profit margins on an ongoing basis to meet established sales and margin goals.
• Effectively manages time and resources to attain results.
• Seen as trustworthy and truthful by others; treats people with dignity, respect, and fairness; expects the organization and its members to be fair and honest in all business dealings.
• Able to define specific goals; able to prioritize objectives; initiates goal setting; prepares well in advance; plans and prioritizes work while being sensitive to time constraints and resource availability.

Background Requirements:

• Four-year college degree
• Strong business sense and five year plus service expertise in the food service industry.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written.
Proficient knowledge in Office 365 and CRM

• Has had proven past success as a National Sales Manager.
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
