We are experts in creating new beverage experiences for emerging lifestyle choices. We manufacture and sell marijuana-derived THC beverages in the dispensary channel in 10 states. We also manufacture and sell hemp-derived THC beverages online and in mainstream retail as able. We are a hardworking, innovative group of cannabis beverage pioneers.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Market Development Representative to join our team to develop and manage the Tennessee market. In this role, you will be responsible for building up our brand through direct account level selling, collaborating with distributor partners, and executing in-market distribution, display building and sampling execution. This role will ideally be based in Nashville metro and be able to travel up to 85% of the time throughout the Nashville metro area and Knoxville.
Responsibilities
• Expectations in market: 4.5 days per week visiting 50-60 accounts (independent on-premise, off-premise, convenience and chain accounts)
• Focus on sell in of new points of distribution, displays and samplings
• Be “an engine of human collaboration.” Fill gaps between team functions, provide connective tissue across the organization and promote a high level of collaboration to get results.
• Distributor Management
o Partner with National Sales Director to deliver sales revenue against plan and collaborate with our TN distributor partners to execute in the assigned territory.
o Lead regular meetings with distributor partners to discuss sales trends, data, goals and provide feedback.
o Deliver focused and professional market recap emails weekly to distributor partners and leadership.
o Manage and maintain inventory levels to avoid out of stocks.
o Identify opportunities for portfolio growth.
o Leverage all selling resources to support KPI & goal achievement.
o Develop and maintain relationships with both retail and distributor contacts – act as an entrepreneur and own designated territory with large field presence.
• Account Management
o Develop and manage account relationships.
o Foster relationships with strategic partners as appropriate in support of market goals.
o “Inspect what you expect”, looking for a solution-oriented person with impeccable follow-through.
• Budget Management
o Create and execute business plans to meet sales targets for state and individual sales channels in the On Premise and Off Premise.
o Work within the provided field marketing and activation budget.
o Plan and execute field marketing activations within budget.
• Collaborate with our company’s teams in Finance, HR, Marketing, Operations and others as required.
• Drive continuous improvement in your market.
• Demonstrate an accountability-driven mindset.
• Other duties as assigned.
Experience
• To be successful in this role, candidates must have proven leadership and sales experience.
• 1+ years sales experience in CPG, cannabis, spirits/wine/beer
required
• Experience with the 3-tier system is a plus.
• Experience working with new categories or innovation brands is a plus.
• Hospitality Experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
• Prior brand ambassador management is preferred.
• Engaging, persuasive, and approachable personality
• Comfortable speaking to large groups
• Familiar with basic work-related hardware and software including MS Office and sales CRM platforms (VIP & Karma notes).
• Ability to attain proper certifications and or licenses to operate in state.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Must be 21 years of age or older. This position requires travel throughout the state of Tennessee. Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle. Weekday, evening, and weekend availability is a must. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly and to maneuver heavier items such as beverage cases. Able to stand more 8+ hours at a time.
