External Reporting Manager

Summary:

Oversee the preparation of public reporting and compliance documents, the application of accounting standards, as well as special projects and ad-hoc reporting requests.

Job Duties:

– Manage the preparation of Security and Exchange Commission filings (Form 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K), press releases, and debt compliance reports
– Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
– Prepare or review investor relations materials, including presentations to investors and support for earnings calls and analyst meetings
– Ensure conformity of technical accounting areas (such as consolidations, equity compensation, valuation, segment reporting, leases and foreign currency reporting) with GAAP
– Design and manage implementation of new accounting standards, when applicable
– Plan and coordinate with external auditors for quarterly, interim and annual assurance procedures
– Prepare or review supporting schedules provided to auditors
– Provide analysis on financial trends
– Track and analyze key performance indicators communicated externally as well as used for internal analysis
– Summarize and report these trends to senior management and external auditors
– Participate in the design, execution and monitoring of internal control activities within the accounting and reporting departments
– Manage the execution of special projects and ad-hoc reporting requests, including, but not limited to, financial statement projections, carve-out financial statements and debt compliance reporting

Background Requirements:

– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
– CPA certification strongly preferred
– 5+ years accounting and financial reporting experience required
– Public accounting experience, including experience managing audit engagement teams strongly preferred
– ‘Big 4’ firm experience preferred
– Knowledge of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles and ability to develop and apply accounting policies and procedures required
– Experience preparing or reviewing Forms 10K, 10Q, 8K and other SEC filings preferred
– Ability to identify, research, and explain trends and variances found in the financial statements required
– Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including advanced Excel, Powerpoint and Word knowledge required
