Director of Supply Chain Planning & Operations

Summary:

Reporting to the SVP – Supply Chain, the Director – Supply Chain Planning & Operations is responsible for the leading development and execution of the Strategic and Tactical Operations Plan for North American Specialty Beverages. Specific areas of accountability include Strategic Long Range Sourcing Strategy, Annual Capacity Planning, Production Planning, and Material Planning. In addition, this role is accountable for delivering innovation and productivity initiatives. This position works closely with the copacking network to resolve issues, drive process improvement, and establish capability and capacity as required to support the business.

Job Duties:

• Develop, gain alignment, communicate and execute:
o Strategic Long Range Sourcing Plan
o Annual Capacity Plans
o Weekly Production Plans
o Material Requirements Planning

• Align closely with Logistics on inventory strategy.
• Lead the copacking network to deliver production in the most effective and efficient possible manner.
• Identify and resolve issues at the copackers.
• Optimize planning process, tools, and organization design. Harmonize across North America.
• Ensure successful delivery of innovation and productivity projects.
• Work with Quality Team to address quality incidents, assign accountability, and recover costs.
• Lead and develop a team of eight professionals.
• Determine proper metrics, set targets, ensure performance delivery.
• Develop and manage within department budget.
• Provide input and direction for the annual operating budget development, monthly business reviews, and quarterly reviews.

Background Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree, master’s degree desirable, in a related field, ideally fifteen plus years of broad based Supply Chain experience in Consumer Packaged Goods.
• Brewing industry experience desirable.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain Planning approaches and techniques.
• Understanding and experience with enterprise supply chain planning software packages.
• High level of planning, organizational, and problem solving skills.
• Strong leadership skills to manage and develop a team, minimum of 7 years’ experience.
• Able to represent the company internally and externally to business partners in a professional manner.
• High level of discretion, tact and confidentiality.
• Able to manage stress, work under pressure, multi task and meet deadlines
