The Role

Why Does Your Role Matter?
Your role as a Director of E-Commerce will be multi-faceted. The Director of E-Commerce will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the performance and user experience of the company’s direct-to-consumer ecommerce platform. As a key player+coach in the Marketing team, the Director of E-Commerce will own the site optimization roadmap for our company. You will lead a talented team to continually improve our website experience, product marketing strategy, and offline sales channel performance. You will be responsible for all DTC growth initiatives with the end goal of hitting short- and long-term revenue targets. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of senior experience as a lead decision maker in an ecommerce organization and have a proven track record of establishing and exceeding KPI’s.

Essential Functions for this Role:

• Accountable for establishing and executing strategic direction of current and future business growth.
• Create and implement effective online site merchandising, product marketing, and offline sales strategies.
• Own and drive our A/B Testing roadmap to reduce friction in the customer journey from prospect to advocacy.
• Develop and implement a segmentation and personalization strategy to create a cohesive omni-channel experience.
• Reports to and works directly with the VP of Brand to guide development and product marketing efforts.
• Collaborates with CEO and Leadership team to analyze and report on key site performance metrics, drive ongoing product marketing initiatives, and make recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with the acquisition, communication and design teams on all product launches and promotions to meet and exceed revenue expectations.
• Lead, guide and grow the E-Commerce, Showroom, and Business Development teams.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Ideal Qualifications Include:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field. MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of senior experience in eCommerce
• Subject matter expert on eCommerce and digital technology trends
• Data Driven and analytical with strong Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of site analytics and CMS tools. Google Analytics strongly preferred.
• Experience working with eCommerce platforms. Shopify strongly preferred.
• Experience in a startup environment preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills, with ability to collaborate with marketers, designers, and cross functional stakeholders such as product development and procurement.
• Motivated, self-starter with the ability to easily between strategy and execution.
• Maintain professional attire & appearance.
• Ability to be on-site role in our headquarters, located in Phoenix, AZ.

Physical Demands:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. The team member frequently communicates with internal team members, investors and vendors. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Constantly operates a computer. Occasionally moves items up to 50 lbs. for various projects.
