Summary: The primary purpose of the Business Intelligence Analyst is to support company initiatives and contribute to the overall success of all company data-driven objectives. This position will be a key contributor to measuring and tracking success metrics for the business. The Business Intelligence Analyst coordinates the creation of BI solutions, using data from external databases and various snapshot files. This role collaborates with stakeholders and peer teams to deliver BI solutions via Power BI reports, dashboards, SSRS reports, and/or SQL queries, which aid in the tracking and driving of the company’s Strategic Roadmap Initiatives and key performance indicators. This position requires a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and the ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
Job Duties: Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Merge and cleanse data from disparate systems using technical and business validation rules • Drive operational efficiency by maintaining databases clean • Support operational process improvement projects of moderate scope and ad-hoc performance analysis as needed • provide Sales and Marketing stakeholders with a data-driven roadmap for sales execution • Create ad-hoc queries and reports as requested and provide on-going analytical support for these requests • Develop / maintain performance management initiatives including compensation/incentive design, development of KPIs, etc • Assist in the creation of new Business Intelligence solutions including data warehouse entities, reports, dashboards, etc. • Generate daily, weekly, monthly and annual metrics and data analysis reports • Support business initiatives by identifying strengths and weaknesses through continued ad hoc analysis of sales data pertaining to specific brands, providing insight and recommended solutions • Create and maintain documentation including requirements, design and user manuals • Assist in revenue forecasting projects and in the creation of new projection models as needed • Participate in cross-functional team projects • Calculates/estimates costs and benefits of alternative actions or solutions to establish their viability/ROI • Develops recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations
Background Requirements: Education and Experience Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, engineering, computer science, or a related technical field • 5 years of related experience, including minimum of 3 years of data analytics experience • Supply chain operations experience a plus
Related Skills: Skills and Attributes • Advanced Excel skills, knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or any other Business Intelligence tools, intermediate DAX and SQL knowledge • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information and reports with attention to detail and accuracy • Good strategic thinking skills • Strong organizational, prioritization and time-management skills • Excellent oral and written skills are a must • Ability to mentor, learn from and collaborate with colleagues • Knowledge of general business operations, operations, and structure analysis principles • Ability to work independently while delivering high-quality work and meeting planned deadlines • Resourceful and proactive in gathering information, sharing ideas, and suggesting new solutions both internally and to clients (as applicable) • Ability to use data to effectively provide business solutions, including visualization and presentation of data for stakeholders • Knowledge of relational databases and data warehouses and ability to solve data problems with code
